Travel the USA without leaving Newport!

Want to get away? Would you like to travel across country? You can see this all without leaving Newport, just by going to the Newport Art Museum.

With the Ann Torke: The Roadtrip Series you can go across that country in about an hour or two. This exhibit takes a look at Torke’s cross-country journey with video clips and other interesting exhibits. This exhibit can looks at her trip scientifically and artistically.

So, I suggest that everyone put their week under a microscope and if you have a free afternoon, head over to the Newport Art Museum and travel across country without ever leaving Newport.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 dollars for students. Museum hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Newport Art Museum, 76 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, (401)-848-8200

The new Odd Couple Comes to the Newport Playhouse!

Looking for a great dinner and show in the same building? Look no further than the Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant. All week The Female Odd Couple will be playing there.

This play was written by Neil Simon, directed by Rob Reimer and produced by Matt Sirvano. This play puts a spin on the original television show and makes it into a female perspective on it. If you just want to see the show, tickets are $30, but if you want a meal with your play, tickets are $50. Newport Playhouse, 102 Connell Highway, Newport, (401)-848-7529
