Bellevue BeautyWalk owner, Kathleen Walsh, is currently celebrating her second year in business. Like with any Newport business, summer tends to be BeautyWalk’s best season. However, all year long BeautyWalk relies on the loyalty of its regulars. “People come in for a certain item they know I have,” said Walsh. Walsh is aware of the unique quality of her store, “I carry a lot of popular New York products that locals can’t find around here.” BeautyWalk’s main line is the sought-after makeup of Paula Dorf. Other hot sellers are the exotics scents of Kai perfumes and body lotions, Hadley Pollet belts that grace the pages of InStyle, Self, and Lucky magazines, and Bliss skincare products, to name a few. According to Walsh, colorful high-quality crystal “bling” earrings are extremely popular right now. They’re made by local designer JoJo Loves You and at $28 they’re very reasonably priced. Other popular products by local designers include a variety of belts and headbands by Ainsley and Chase and hand painted beaded bracelets, necklaces, and key chains by Reba Bella Beads. It’s worth the walk to 86 Williams St. to check out latest jewelry, cosmetics, and unique gifts.
