Kio’s offers Asian cuisine and an ecletic atmosphere.
NEWPORT- Kio’s Asian Stir, of 82 Broadway, sits across from Thompson Middle School and is nestled between Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and Waterbros. Surf & Skate. While it may look like your typical Asian restaurant, Kio’s impressive menu and relaxing atmosphere prove that looks can be deceiving.
There was an overwhelming calm that washed over me from the second I walked in and the bell hanging from the door frame rang to inform employees that my girlfriend and I had arrived. The cozy interior blends pastel orange walls and ancient Chinese paintings with nine tables surrounded by multiple chairs. The dim lights are covered with colorful paper mache.
