What is love to you?
Somebody once said, that “the ultimate test of a relationship is to disagree but hold hands.” This quote embodies the exact distinction of being in love, and being in lust. When you are in love, you stare soulfully into another person’s eyes while your heart skips the last six beats within your chest. You check your email about fifty times a day, and your cell phone twice as many, just to see if he said hello “just because.” You can’t decide what to buy him for a birthday or Christmas present, so you decide to buy him everything. And when it comes to your Friday night social calendar, you would rather have a home-cooked meal, rent a movie and lay on the couch for hours doing nothing but
listening to each other breathe. Being in lust, however, evokes a different feeling. It is your vision that really ‘falls in love’; the physicality of some sort of connection, reciprocal or otherwise. It is that Saturday night “one-too-many” type of feeling. Eventually, it may fade and move on. Sometimes, it may turn into something great. Often, though, it is a temporary spark ignited by stylish clothes, a pair of stilettos and a well-made momosa.
