1. Things for Thursday – Thursday, March 5th & 19th, 11 am – 3 pm – Garden Globes & Photo Cellphone Covers – Wakehurst
On March 5th, CAB will be giving out garden globes to remind you that Spring does exist, regardless of how long it takes us to get there. On March 19th, students will have the opportunity to print photos of their choice onto cases for popular Apple and Android devices!
2. Friday Night Live: Salve’s Got Talent – Friday, March 20, 2015 – 9 p.m – Casino Theater
This annual talent show put on by Student Activities includes a number of new and old student acts competing to win a cash prize. It is very often one of the most popular events of the semester, and never fails to bring students back year after year.
3. Dance Marathon – Saturday, March 21, 2015 – 5 p.m. to Sunday, March 22, 2015 – 11 a.m. – Ochre Court
This is a student-run event, during which students stay on their feet for 18 hours to benefit the Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network. Participants have spent the last year helping raise money and awareness for pediatric medical care and research.
4. Movie Night: Mockingjay Part 1 – Saturday, March 21, 2015 – 9 p.m.- Bazarsky Lecture Hall
The first film based on the last book of the hugely popular Hunger Games Series will be shown at Salve Regina University. The film follows Katniss Everdeen as she spreads propaganda in order to fight back against The Capital.
5. French Film Festival – Sunday, March 15th-26th, 2015 – Bazarsky Lecture Hall
The French Film Festival is an annual event open to both the Newport community and students/faculty of Salve Regina University. There will be a total of 7 French films, ranging in genre from classics to modern animation. Tickets for each film are $10, free for Salve Students.
