Dear Salve Seahawks,
As we’re sitting on our laptops writing away, it’s hard for us to believe that we are seniors in college. From scared freshmen to more confident sophomores to thriving juniors, here we are.
We remember trying to find where our classrooms were in the first weeks of our first year at Salve. We socialized in the booths of the Miley dining hall living off of bagels and cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We stress-watched the clock tick down to click register for classes each semester hoping to see our schedule light up in all green instead of red. Now, we look forward to what our senior year at Salve Regina University holds for us, and are reminiscing on all of the memories we have made since stepping foot on the island of Newport.
For those of you who may not know, our names are Rebecca Capozzi and Morgan Rizzo. We’re happy to be serving SRU Mosaic as the co-editors-in-chief for the 2022-2023 academic school year. Outside of basically living in the Antone building as communication majors, you can find us taking dance classes, going for drives on Ocean Drive and hanging out with our friends. We’re here to provide student-written stories to students, alumni, faculty, and other visitors of our website.
Whether it’s your first or last semester at Salve Regina University, there is so much to take in here. With events happening daily, sports and club meetings booming and gossip circulating around campus, there is a wide range of topics for us as editors to cover in the short span of a year. From campus happenings, world-wide news, sports, the arts and more, SRU Mosaic covers anything you can possibly think of to write about.
We hope you begin to enjoy all that we have in store for SRU Mosaic this year! We look forward to bringing back physical copies of our newspaper for a coffee social event at the end of each semester and will continue running awesome gift card giveaways on our Instagram, @srumosaic.
