“One-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight” echoes through the dance studio as girls rehearse the same movements over and over again. To non-experienced eyes such as mine, I thought the first go through was good. How I missed one dancer step on two and not three and one girl spin before the other girls are beyond her, and obviously beyond me.

WASHINGTON – As the Senate health-care debate stretched through the weekend, President Barack Obama planned to travel to Capitol Hill Saturday afternoon to meet with Democratic lawmakers at a rare weekend caucus gathering.

The move came as Democratic leaders are pushing the Senate to complete work on its bill before Christmas, a deadline seen as critical if Congress is to send the president health-care legislation by the end of January.

Yes, the holiday movie season is upon us, and the films poised to descend on the multiplexes and the arthouses before the end of the year just might make it to an Oscar ballot – or might vanish, forgotten, into the cold night.

On Saturday Nov. 21, 2009, I set my Facebook status as “I will not be on Facebook for a week because I am writing an article for SRU Mosaic.is it possible to go days without Facebook? Let me know what you think.”

Since then, I have been tempted to check my Facebook a few times just to see what people have responded.

The Salve Regina men’s basketball team played their first game on Nov. 16, 2009 against Albertus Magnus, losing in a heartbreakig 73-72 final score. “Our kids played very hard against Albertus Magnus,” said Sean Foster, coach for the basketball team. “Albertus did a great job making plays both on the defensive and offensive end.
