NEWPORT, RI- Thousands of sparkling white lights illuminate the night sky, among evergreen and wreaths placed outside the entrance.

Once inside the building, pearls are everywhere, wrapped in bright red and white flowers shaped like snowballs, mixed with shimmering snowflakes, white branches, and evergreen, capturing the holiday atmosphere.

The Athletic department at Salve Regina University is running a bit smoother thanks to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, coming to be known on campus as the SAAC.

Salve Athletic Director Del Malloy is the faculty advisor for the club, which is mostly run by the two student chairs, Kacie Gallo and Ben Kelley.

Reverence for Fr. Angelo D’Agostino will certainly continue to thrive.

Three weeks ago, on Monday, Nov. 20, the Salve Regina community was stirred and saddened by the sudden passing of Fr. D’Agostino. He was a gracious contributor to the social interests of this university, and an international advocate of pursuing peace and showing unending mercy.

NEWPORT, RI – This year marked the 30th anniversary of the annual Governor’s Ball, held at Salve Regina University, and raised over $333,600 to benefit the student scholarship fund, on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Upon entrance into Ochre Court, guests were greeted by the sight of the mansion’s Christmas tree.
