Today I experienced what it felt like to drive drunk in one of the University’s parking lots. As part of Well Fest, Salve held “Fatal Vision” on April 10, 2006 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students were given the opportunity to wear goggles making them feel as though they had as many as six drinks, and drive through a course set up in Rodgers parking lot.

Campaign posters will soon disappear and the student executive ballots will soon be calculated, but the Salve spirit was alive and hopeful at the first ever Student Government Association Debate on Tuesday night.

The debate was hosted in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall and allowed the 2006-2007 executive board candidates a final opportunity to voice their intentions, goals, and agendas for office.

Comedian Steve Caouette performed for over 100 students in Bazarsky Hall Tuesday night, in an hour and a half of sidesplitting laughter.

Caouttte began by getting familiar with the audience asking where they lived. One brave male student from Maine raised his hand and unexpectedly became Caouette’s target for the rest of the night.

The only movement is from the angry Atlantic waves slamming into the rocks below. Suddenly a Greyhound darts out the back door, and a man appears, small in stature with glasses that hide piercing blue eyes. The dog runs back and jumps on him licking him lovingly, and the two disappear back into the estate.
