ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. _ The woman in the long gown and big hairdo stands in the center of the stage, wiping away tears, surrounded by her fellow contestants, watched by millions in television land.

It is the quintessential “Miss America” moment — except that it’s not.

Sandy Nesbitt is a Newport photographer and gallery owner who strives for authenticity and meaning in his photographs and combines the need to make a living with the desire to travel the world.

Salve Regina’s women’s ice hockey team is proud to announce that seven team members have been selected for the ECAC Women’s East All Academic team. Coach Steve Oullette is proud of his team. “I believe it is a very important feature for the women’s ice hockey team to be recognized for their hard work off the ice,” said Oullette.

On May 1, 2005 at 5:30 in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall, the 2004-2005 Sports Award Ceremony took place. Eighteen varsity programs were honored in the ceremony, with each team being recognized, various athletes awarded, and a slide show of the year’s athletic events.
