Review:
The Russo brothers did not disappoint in this second installment in the Captain America franchise. It is hard for a sequel not to fall under the shadow of the original film. This movie, however, did not shield itself at all!
The secretive agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. is compromised. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is called to action find out why S.H.I.E.L.D. is no longer reliable espionage with the help of redheaded sidekick, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).
This film was a roller coaster of comedy, drama and action. The writing was great in that it balanced between the three different genres incredibly well. The creative fighting scenes had me hanging off the edge of my seat, laughing at some parts and cringing at others. The majority involved a triumphant fist pump for when a move was really nailed by the Cap, but no spoilers here.
The movie was at a reasonable pace and a very consumer-friendly length. It got to the point pretty fast. It was an enjoyable film that I may watch for a second time.
