Students lined up outside of Rodgers, waiting to see the Celtics in action at Saturday’s Green and White scrimmage.

Doc Rivers, head Celtics’ coach, welcomed 400 cheering students, faculty, and friends to the annual pre-season inter squad scrimmage which served as a ‘thank you’ to the Salve Regina community.

The Boston Celtics had a lot to say during their training camp that was held here at Salve Regina Univeristy this past week.

The players have nothing but positive things to say about the upcoming season. They are hoping for another championship year.

“Being part of a championship team is legendary,” Eddie House said.

Despite the weather forecast, over 300 people participated in the 5K Newport Mansion Run in Newport, R.I., on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The event was one of many during Fall Festival weekend. The run started and ended on Webster Street next to Rodgers Recreation Center at Salve Regina University.
