NEWPORT, RI- Strength and conditioning training is a crucial component to the success of athletes in today’s games. As a result, Salve Regina has begun plans to expand its fitness center and improve the summer strength and conditioning program.

Some of these plans include re-arranging the fitness center by reconfiguring the space to fit more machines.

NEWPORT, R.I.–It was a cloudy afternoon at the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, as over a dozen young adults in bright orange shirts pulled weed-like plants from the ground with shovels. They weren’t criminals repaying a debt to society, but instead students taking part in a community service program of a local university.

Del Malloy is the athletic director of the schools sports programs, and he also helped design of the building in 1996.
