Lily Haseotes Bentas, chief executive officer and chairperson of Cumberland Farms Inc., will present the keynote address during Salve Regina’s 56th Commencement on Sunday, May 21 at 10 a.m. Bentas will also be awarded an honorary doctorate in business administration.

Four Salve Regina freshmen have been arrested in connection with a break-in that took place at the Breakers Mansion last weekend. The students are residents of Hunt Hall and stand accused of stealing over $100,000 worth of items including a candelabra, vases and a clock.

About 100 members of the Salve community gathered in the Ochre Court State Dining Room on Apr. 19 to recognize some of the university’s finest at this year’s Student Life Honors Dinner. Among those honored were members of the Miley Hall housekeeping staff, who were the recipients of one of three Freshman Advocate Awards.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Three area business, Office Max, Ben and Jerry’s and Starbucks, took part in Salve Regina’s Earth Day celebration that was held outside Wakehurst on April 21.

“I’m excited to see Salve’s active involvement in Earth Day,” said sophomore Ian Kerr.
