VATICAN CITY- In electing the former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger as the new pope, the cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church have chosen not only one of the most theologically conservative among their ranks, but also a brilliant German-born theologian whose worldview was shaped by Europe- and remains focused there.

Figuring out the meaning behind “poking” and agonizing over what to write on a friend’s “wall” have become new puzzles for many members of the Salve Regina University community in the past month.

These new terms are part of a jargon that was introduced when Salve was added to the network of colleges and universities on www.

Technology around campus is becoming more prevalent and available to students. Salve is undergoing large changes within its technology department in order to benefit the current students and the incoming students.

The Information Technologies Department is currently exploring the concept of turning Salve into a “laptop school.

Be there for people, make their day, choose your attitude, play. This is the Fish philosophy, a way of life for those who are a part of Salve’s office of residential life.

“If they can embrace these four concepts, they are on their way,” said Van Pham, assistant director of residential life, of next year’s newly appointed resident assistants.
