“As usual, I am a trend setter,” says Ashby Connors, sophomore at the University of Maine-Farmington.

Connors, who used the server Livejournal.com to start her online journal almost four years ago, rants, raves, and holds discussions on any topic that occupies her mind, all for anyone to read.

SRU American Marketing Association Awarded Community Service Grant

Salve Regina University AMA was one of thirteen collegiate chapters to be awarded a community service grant from the American Marketing Association Foundation. The grant is in the amount of five-hundred dollars. Eight marketing students in MGT422: Marketing Strategies during the fall 2004 semester wrote the grant seeking funds to help the Newport Community School increase community awareness.

The men’s basketball team has been highly successful this season with an overall record of 13-8 and a record of 10-3 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The team is led by Captains Chris Collier with 16 points per game and nine rebounds, and Matt Coute also with 16 points per game.
