Alan Jackson’s soothing voice has been gracing the wave-bands of country music radio for close to 15 years. Jackson produces hit after hit, triple platinum album after triple platinum album and, consequently, country music fan after country music fan.

Two psychologists from the University of Rhode Island will be featured speakers at a seminar on body image at Salve this Thursday, April 15. This particular campus seminar is entitled “Society’s Miserable Mirror: Transforming Body Image in a Poisonous Culture” and will address a number of the struggles college students face when it comes to their body and measuring up to society’s standards.

With Connections Day having just passed, talk around campus is “what is it like your first year at Salve?” To ease the worries of prospective Salve students (and their parents), Mosaic conducted an informal Q&A with current freshmen finishing up their first year at the university.

Kerrin D’Agnelli, a junior at Salve, is captain of the women’s soccer team, and although her high profile position at the university leaves her well known, there’s a softer side to the girl who shows brute force when on the playing field.

Prior to Thursday, March 25, 2004, this coming Easter Weekend, April 8 -11, 2004, seemed to be routine and without any major travel trouble besides the usual areas of traffic congestion. That night, Connecticut media outlets reported that a fiery tanker crashed on the southbound side of Interstate 95, near exit 26, and the resulting fire melted the elevated highway between exits 24 and 27 in Bridgeport, Conn.
