Chris Hedges, Pulitzer Prize winning war correspondent to the New York Times, will be speaking as part of the Atwood Lecture series at O’Hare Wednesday, March 24. Hedges will be lecturing on the topic, “Is There Such a Thing as a Just War?”

On Saturday, March 20, anti-war and peace rallies were held all over the world on the one-year anniversary of the war in Iraq. Such rallies bring out diverse types of people, each with their own cause and view-points on the way things are, and the way things should be.

Guster to Headline Salve Spring Concert

The Boston-based trio Guster will headline Salve Regina’s annual spring concert scheduled for 8pm Sunday, April 25 in the Rodgers Recreation Center. Tickets for the concert go on sale Monday, March 29 and are $10 for students and $15 for guests.

Greg Wood Performs Wednesday

Musician Greg Wood performs as part of the Coffee House Series this Wednesday, Mar. 24, at 8:00 p.m. in the Wakehurst Commuter Lounge.

Wood is somewhat different than the past singer/ songwriters that have performed at Salve this year because his musical style ranges from punk music to folk music.

A junior at Salve Regina University, Molly Osborn, 21, has just begun the application process to study abroad at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. The school is located an hour north of the busy city of Brisbane, and although it was the school’s unique name that caught her attention at first, the university had another draw as well.
