It is that time of year again. The romantic season that people either anticipate or dread. The time where drugstores showcase Valentine’s Day attire and when commercials advertise all the sales in romantic chocolates. It is also the time all the Valentine’s Day haters fire up the media expressing their resentment for the holiday.

On Tuesday, Feb. 8, The Campus Activities Board’s (CAB) “Spotlight” Committee presented “The Black Jew Dialogues.” This fast- paced comical show combined improv, interactive video, audience participation and a multitude of characters. The performance strived to achieve the goal of every “Spotlight” event, which is to be both entertaining and informative.

“Nants ingonyama, bagithi baba!”, or “There Comes a Lion!” go the opening lyrics to “The Lion King,” a musical that first swept the world off its feet when it was released as a Disney film in 1994. “The Lion King” was a milestone film for Disney, and would forever influence and change cinema history.

For two of Salve Regina University’s women’s basketball team captains, bringing home a conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament is the perfect way to bring this year’s season to an end. It is also a great way to conclude these soon-to-be college graduates Salve basketball careers.

Jacqueline Lawler’s room is not only buzzing with the jabber of her residents, who are frequent visitors. Enter her room and you will find a homemade stuffed animal of Perry the Platypus from the Disney Channel series “Phineas and Ferb.” Shoe boxes are scattered on the floor.
