The entertainment maverick Ke$ha rose to stardom in 2009 when her debut album, “Animal”, hit charts globally, reaching No. 1. She is best heard blasting out of car windows – but perhaps you may have even met her – or several of her, for that matter, while out trick-or-treating this Sunday evening.

Picture a typical hospital wing: plain white walls, no windows, bustling nurses and the doctor passing through on a tight schedule. Add a multitude of seemingly anonymous patients who have no sense of what is happening around them and who may or may not be talking to themselves.

This fall, Salve Regina University’s Performing Arts Department will present a comedic and unorthodox view of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”, with Tom Stoppard’s “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.” Rehearsals for the show began over a month ago on Sept. 18, and a great deal of physical and emotional work has gone into its development; from the construction of a historically designed stage to the portrayal of a psychological experiment.
