The door of the office formerly shared by Mosaic and SGA is propped open on a Monday afternoon. Boxes everywhere, papers scattered, maintenance workers moving boxes and tables in and out on hand trucks, the phone ringing off the hook, students in and out with questions.

A caring father, John Rok and his wife Kitty have four full-grown children, with only one who has yet to finish college. Yet, Rok has given his heart to not one, but two families -also serving the Salve community as the Vice President of Student Affairs full-time for 17 years.

Chapel bells echo in the night air, playing the Salve Regina alma mater, while a crowd gathers outside of Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. Each person ties a colored ribbon around the gates outside the chapel. Much of the gates are laced with these ribbons by now, and the crowd lingers, silent except for the crying of a few students.
