Who says being a Gleek isn’t cool.

On Apr. 16, 2010, I was one of 200 people from ages 16-26 who showed up at the Emerald Square Mall in North Attleboro, Mass. for an open casting call for the hit show on Fox, “Glee.” I have been a faithful follower, a “Gleek,” of the show since it premiered last May.

When I think about graduation, one word comes to mind, wow. It is unbelievable to think that four years ago I began my college career. Now, in my last few weeks at the school and in Newport, R.I., I find myself reflecting on all the great memories I will have for a lifetime.

Students report spending an average of $667 on course materials in the past 12 months, reported a study done by Student Watch 2010. However, Salve Regina University students now have a way to save half of this money by renting books.

Students will be given the opportunity to take a much-needed breather from all the hoopla of college exams. The student-run organization VIRGO, or Volunteers in Reaching Out and Guiding Others, will host a Stressbuster event for Salve Regina students on Monday May 3, 2010 from 10 to 12 p.
