If you’re already getting sick of the 3D movie craze this season, well, make room in your heart for one more. Believe me, I get tired of my eyes being strained and my head pounding after walking out of a 3D movie. I am also not a fan of my wallet being 11 dollars shallower, but I get to leave with the 3D glasses, a nice souvenir.

After four years of hard work, late nights in the library and endless cups of Jazzman’s coffee, the Class of 2010 will be graduating on May 16, 2010, but not before they are treated to a little end-of-the-year fun. The Office of Student Activities will once again be hosting Senior Week.

Newport, R.I.–In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Salve Regina University and the Aquidneck Land Trust are teaming up to offer a special screening of the internationally acclaimed film Home on Thursday, Apr. 22, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jane Pickens Theater in downtown Newport.

For two of Salve Regina University’s baseball captains, bringing home a conference championship deems the perfect way to not only bring the season to an end, but to also conclude these soon-to-be college graduates’ careers. Fortunately, such a victory seems to be on the brink for Salve’s true-blue, devoted players.

Almost every Salve student admits at one time or another that at least one reason for choosing Salve had to do with the aesthetic qualities of Newport, the impressive history of some its buildings or the convenient location on the shore. However, some issues tend to arise with the very same motives for which students originally came to Salve for.
