Cozying up by the fire with a good Kindle. Basking in the hot sun on the beach with a Nook. Wait a minute. Something here is not right, but it could be soon. Companies like Amazon and Barnes & Noble see the future of reading as electronic rather than paper.

About eight years ago, librarian Lisa Long was working at Brandeis University. She heard about Google’s intentions through other universities in California and the Midwest, but people in New England just weren’t picking up on the chatter. That was when Google first entered into agreements with several libraries, including Harvard, to digitize books.

If you’re already getting sick of the 3D movie craze this season, well, make room in your heart for one more. Believe me, I get tired of my eyes being strained and my head pounding after walking out of a 3D movie. I am also not a fan of my wallet being 11 dollars shallower, but I get to leave with the 3D glasses, a nice souvenir.

After four years of hard work, late nights in the library and endless cups of Jazzman’s coffee, the Class of 2010 will be graduating on May 16, 2010, but not before they are treated to a little end-of-the-year fun. The Office of Student Activities will once again be hosting Senior Week.
