For the Scrooge of Valentine’s Day who definitely won’t be first in line to see the star-packed new movie Valentine’s Day hitting theatres Feb. 12, 2010, take into consideration these classic films that I am sure will fulfill your black heart. So grab a pint of your favorite Ben & Jerry’s, a toasty beverage and a garbage can to burn all those pictures of your cheating ex-boyfriend/girlfriend while you enjoy an evening filled with the satisfaction of stabbing love right in the heart.

With all of the problems in today’s world, it can be easy to become discouraged. However, nine students and Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies Dr. Inglish Morgan-Gardner were reminded that it is both possible, and important, to make a difference in the world.

Most Salve students can admit to having childhoods consisted of watching Disney Princess films within a cozy living room. It’s true; Disney highly dominated the 1990s. It is almost impossible for me personally to reminisce growing up in Bristol, R.I. without “Aladdin’s” “A Whole New World” echoing in my head.

It is not surprising to any veteran Salve student to experience extreme over-crowding at McKillop library during finals week and the week preceding it. Friends and classmates often need to plan ahead in grabbing a table before none are left. When times become so desperate, some students resort to taking advantage of the Newport Public library or even find some haunts downtown, like Empire, which often takes on extended hours for the Salve finals week.
