This fall, Hanson will join Hellogoodbye, Sherwood and Steel Train on the “Use Your Sole” tour. The tour, sponsored by Toms Shoes, will feature a pre-show walk in each show city to raise awareness to global poverty issues.

On past tours, Hanson and fans have walked one mile in each tour city to empathize with children in Africa who are affected by AIDS.

A new chapter in Salve Regina history began on September 18, 2009 with the inauguration of Salve’s seventh president, Dr. Jane Gerety, RSM. At the inaugural ceremony on the Wakehurst lawn, Gerety delivered her inaugural address centered on the theme of hope.

Newport, RI – In its eighth year at Salve, the women’s volleyball team refuses to lose their spirit as they expect to make a big comeback in the second half of the season.

Since 2006, the team has only been getting better, accumulating more wins and even advancing to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament each of the past four years.
