Salve Women’s Cross-Country Team had the longest season out off all the fall sports teams this year. They arrived for preseason on Aug. 17, 2003, and finished their season Nov. 15, 2003. This year’s team consisted of six freshmen, four sophomores, four juniors, and three seniors. The team welcomed a new coach, Scott Hutchinson, the former Babson Cross-Country Coach.

At the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) the team received third place and two of the girls received all conference. Freshman Judy Crane and Senior Jessica Guiliano received the all conference award by placing in the top ten.

At the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) the girls placed #19 out of forty-three schools, which helped bump them up seven spots from last year. NCAA is the biggest meet that Salve Cross-Country competes in and it is against some of the toughest schools in New England. After such a progressive season, the girls are fired up to do even better next year!
