Mosaic Fashion Editor,

Although Valentine’s Day may have passed, staying up all night and watching romantic chick-flicks with friends or an unwilling boyfriend is an activity that never goes out of season. There are a ton of romantic comedies out there—but not all of them are the most fashion-forward! Here are my favorite fashionable romance picks to watch  (listed in no particular order):

1)      Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)—Rebecca Bloomwood is a broke fashion maven who falls in love with the editor of an entrepreneurial magazine. Bloomwood, played by Isla Fisher, may be a fashion victim to high-end brand names, but Shopaholic balances the right amount of love, drama, Prada and more in one movie.

2)      Marie Antoinette (2006)—The costumes worn by Kirsten Dunst, who plays the Queen of France Marie Antoinette, and the rest of the royal court live up to the elegance and extravagance that characterized 18th century France. Milena Canonero, the costume designer, also worked on The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and The Darjeeling Unlimited (2007).

3)      The Vow (2012)—Rachel McAdams usually plays the same sort of character—the spoiled rich girl—but she always has a fantastic wardrobe worthy of a grown-up Mean Girl. Watching Channing Tatum in a good pair of jeans never hurts, either.

4)      Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)—Audrey Hepburn and the little black dress take on New York City. No further explanation is needed to justify why this classic landed the list.

5)      The Tourist (2010)—Despite the fact this film wasn’t well received by critics, even with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie as co-stars, it is a beautiful action-adventure, romantic film shot in Venice, Italy. Jolie’s wardrobe and jewelry is to die for.
