Salve Regina University’s 2nd annual Student Life Honors Dinner was held in Ochre Court on Thursday, April 22, to recognize student achievement in campus activities.

This night recognized those students who had made outstanding achievements in campus clubs and organizations, from the Administration of Justice club to Circle K, the Council for Exceptional Children, to the Residence Hall Association, the Psychology club and One World Society, to name a few.

“This dinner is to recognize those non-seniors because without this kind of involvement, Salve would be known as just a good school academically,” John Rok, Vice President of Student Life said. Rok also commented during the dinner how he commends the students for their achievements and for making Salve a better place by their involvement. Seniors will receive honors and awards in a separate ceremony on Saturday, May 15.

The dinner was a light, informal and fun gathering and members of the community enjoyed a buffet style meal while watching students receive awards. Rok also said that this event has been very effective, and he hopes for it to become a natural tradition in years to come.

Rok and the rest of the student life staff were very pleased by the turnout at the dinner, and hope that students, faculty and staff enjoyed the dinner as well.
