Every year, I am given the opportunity to work Connections Day, which is Salve version of “accepted students’ day.” When I attended Connections Day more than four years ago, I remember it being a blur of information sessions and meeting people who I thought would someday have me in class or in a chorus rehearsal.

Fearlessly plunging into his eighth year as head coach of Salve Regina University’s Sailing Program, John Ingalls believes that if one is to succeed in sailing, then one will succeed in life. Undoubtedly his message is one that has also been adapted by his triumphant Salve sailors.

Salve Regina University has many clubs that cater to students with passions for surfing, the environment or even baking. Among these clubs, the largest club on campus is SRU Dance, which has consistently has over 100 members in recent years. Whether students have danced their entire lives or want to pick dance up as something new, the club allows everyone to take a class.
