If one were in Wakehurst student center Friday evening, one would be surrounded by large crowds of students, as well as the echo of Christmas music festivities, part of the first annual “A Very Wakehurst Christmas.” The Office of Student Activities has been working very hard this year in coming up with new campus traditions, and what better way to bring students together during the holiday season than a celebration of Christmas cheer.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year once again! But alas, it’s also the very end of the semester. Don’t worry — all is not lost! Here are some well-devised tips from a seasoned Christmas elf for staying in the spirit, even as time for holiday cheer appears scarce.

On Nov. 20 and Nov. 21, a packed audience watched SRU dance perform their fall performance, “Power Trip,” in Rodgers Recreation Center. The performance was named after the Kanye West song “Power,” which is the show’s opening dance.

There was certainly plenty of power and energy in the performance, made up of 27 dances ranging from hip-hop, Irish step, tap and jazz.
