There is more to pursuing a degree in English at Salve Regina University than just reading Shakespeare. The English major helps to expand creativity, it teaches students how to effectively tell stories and it helps students gain a sense of who they are and what they want out of life through studying the literary classics.

While so much of our lives are based on competition, Salve Regina University and Bryant University students were not competing, but instead singing together in harmony.

On Saturday, Nov. 13 Salve Regina’s music department joined with Bryant University’s Chorus to perform the seventh annual “Voices in Harmony” choral concert.

Veronica Rynn is not only a nutrition teacher in the nursing department at Salve Regina University, but she also knows how to move her feet on the dance floor. Rynn teaches a Tango class every Tuesday night from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the Edward King House, which is an old red brick building right behind the CVS on Bellevue Avenue.
