The Multicultural Student Organization hosted an ethnic flavored dinner in
Salve Regina University’s Miley Cafeteria in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. The festival recognized the various backgrounds and heritages of Hispanic cultures through the selection of foods, the rhythms of music, fun fact table sheets, and posters.Never before has the country seen anything like the relentless media coverage of the 2008 Presidential Election. For almost two years, nightly newscasts have tirelessly covered every move the government has made, drilling home the idea that our nation is in serious trouble.
Dinner time for a typical college student consists of eating some good old cafeteria food at Miley, meaning eating foods with your hand, leaving crumbs on the table, the possibility of at least one person at the table spilling a drink or it spewing from their mouth mid laugh and if you’re really polite you might use a napkin.
Last year, Alternative Press magazine voted Jack’s Mannequin’s sophomore album as their most anticipated release of 2008. Jack’s Mannequin’s first release, Everything in Transit, proved a huge success for Andrew McMahon, lead singer and mastermind behind Jack’s Mannequin.
