about to travel back centuries, to a world of cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and the emergence of our young country into a great nation.

Although the radio station might seem new to most students it has actually been around for many years. WSRU was first officially recognized as a student organization by Salve Regina University in 1998, but the studio was only completed in the newly renovated garden level of Wakehurst in 2000.

When politics professor Mary Anne Clarke attempts to explain the multitude of young voters who have become politically active this year, she immediately points towards political campaigning.

With popular youth-oriented television programs like MTV encouraging younger viewers to vote through promotion of hip media campaigns such as Rock the Vote, younger generations have been more apt to want to learn.

Dan Titus has one of the busiest jobs on campus. He is in charge of all of the audio and visual set-ups on campus, as well as the computers in all of the classrooms. With the constant commotion that goes down in the University Computer Las, which is located in the basement of the Salve Regina University library, Titus, assistant director of the University Computer Labs, also has what other people have on their minds this time of year.

As April is half way over and May is looming ahead many seniors are starting to feel mixed emotions. They are nostalgic and sad to leave Salve Regina University, the place that has been their home for four years, and the friends they have made here that have become family.
