NEWPORT, R.I. – Students, teachers and members of the Newport community took time out of their day to remember the late Pope John Paul II Friday, in a mass at Ochre Court.

Providence Bishop Thomas J. Tobin asked of the churches in Rhode Island to celebrate mass honoring the late pope along with churches around the world.

One of the main factors in my decision to attend Salve Regina University was the fact that it is a Catholic school. Women’s Track and Field Update:

After only one and half years at Salve as the women’s track and field coach, Coach Scott Hutchinson is already seeing improvement. The team boasts a roster of 23, up from last years team of 15.

The team welcomes back returners Lisa Silveira, and Kendra Czarnecki, both of whom qualified for NCAA New England’s last year.
