Katie Dyer and Jane Perkins of Newport have done their share of traveling. The mother-daughter duo are the co-owners of Cadeaux du Monde, a fair trade shop in downtown Newport that sells artwork and jewelry from all over the world, representing over 40 countries.

When Salve Regina University security officers attended the Rhode Island College and University Public Safety Training Academy, many left wanting the more professional look that the officers from other universities sport.

After several years of silence on the airwaves of WSRU, the music is finally back this semester. Students have been working with Bart Carithers, Director of Student Activities, to accomplish this. The station officially went back on the air on January 24th.

The men’s basketball team has been highly successful this season with an overall record of 13-8 and a record of 10-3 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The team is led by Captains Chris Collier with 16 points per game and nine rebounds, and Matt Coute also with 16 points per game.
