As he made the rounds at the studios to pitch a sci-fi fantasy he was calling “The Star Wars,” with each new telling, his movie sounded more and more like a parable of his own struggle to resist the soul-crushing heel of Hollywood.Robert Pesapane is stressed. This Wednesday, at 2:00p.m., the Salve junior has to convince the student body that he is Senator John Kerry in a mock Presidential Debate. Even to a seasoned politician, it proves no easy task.
“I’m representing views to people who don’t even know who John Kerry is,” Pesapane said.Newport Harbor was all tied up this weekend by hundreds of boats. Thousands of people arrived in Newport to visit the 34th Annual Newport International Boat Show.
This event marked the beginning of the industry’s fall boat shows allowing people a first look at the 2005 boat debuts.When Julie Lindblom, a 20 year old nursing major at Salve, was in second grade her grandfather had his first open-heart surgery. It was then that Lindblom first decided that she wanted to be a nurse; more specifically her grandfather’s nurse.
During her junior year in high school, Lindblom’s grandfather died, but her dream of becoming a nurse didn’t die with him, in fact, this tragic turn of events only strengthened her desire to pursue nursing.
