A little over a month is left until the class of 2004 will walk through the gates in front of Wakehurst to begin their journey into life after college. The university, the caterers, the craftsmen, and especially the tent company have only one thing on their minds: “I hope everything goes perfectly. I hope nothing bad happens.”

The Boston-based trio Guster will headline Salve Regina’s annual spring concert scheduled for 8pm Sunday, April 25 in the Rodgers Recreation Center. Tickets for the concert go on sale Monday, March 29 and are $10 for students and $15 for guests.

On Saturday, March 20, anti-war and peace rallies were held all over the world on the one-year anniversary of the war in Iraq. Such rallies bring out diverse types of people, each with their own cause and view-points on the way things are, and the way things should be.

Chris Hedges, Pulitzer Prize winning war correspondent to the New York Times, will be speaking as part of the Atwood Lecture series at O’Hare Wednesday, March 24. Hedges will be lecturing on the topic, “Is There Such a Thing as a Just War?”

College basketball has become quite the contradiction. The steadily diminishing talent level is killing the game, but it’s making the NCAA tournament a bigger, more enticing event than ever before. The drama of the first four days of the tournament makes the agonizing boredom of the four months of the regular season a little more palatable.
