The Salve Regina Football Team invited alumni to return home to Toppa Field where the Seahawks battled defending conference champions Western New England University on Fall Festival Weekend. The Seahawks were left playing catch-up as the Golden Bears out-rushed them by 254 yards. Salve’s Brandon Nunes had the most receiving yards on the day with 67 as well as a touchdown. Defensive Back Matt Sylvia earned CCC Defensive Player of the Week with an interception and a touchdown. Although over 2,000 fans attended in hopes of a 1-0 conference start, the Seahawks just couldn’t shake the Bears. 41-14 was the final score.
