Happening this month is the annual “Seahawks Take Flight campaign,” an annual fundraiser to boost Salve Regina Athletics and Seahawk student athletes.
The campaign is currently running through Saturday, October 29th, with $29,000 raised thus far.
Fall athletes are in the height of their seasons, winter athletes are eagerly preparing for the start of theirs, and spring athletes are practicing and participating in team workouts to ensure a successful second half of the year.
From the campaign website itself: “Support Your Sport with Seahawks Take Flight! This fall, your gift of any amount will help our Seahawks soar throughout the 2022-23 season. Philanthropic support from alumni, parents, friends, students, and generous donors allows our athletes to compete to their fullest potential.”
Salve Regina Athletics will also be moving into the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) for the upcoming 2023-2024 year. A huge move for the university and its athletic programs, Salve will have the opportunity to regularly compete against some of New England’s most prestigious academic institutions.
