The Salve Regina Student Government Association nominates Morgan Rayner, a junior from Coventry, RI, as senator of the week. Rayner is a social work major.
Q: How would you describe yourself in a single adjective?
A: If I had to describe myself in one word it would be committed.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A: My uncle has always told me that “Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know” a quote by Pema Chodron.
Q: What is your favorite book or movie and why?
A: My favorite movie is Inception, every time you see the film you discover something new.
Q: Favorite place to eat on the island?
A: My go to place on the island is the Red Parrot, their menu has a wonderful variety.
Q: What is your favorite Salve memory?
A: My favorite memory at Salve was Service Plunge. I have had a great experience on all of the retreats I have participated in.
Q: What is the best class you have taken at Salve?
A: Trauma & Intervention with Ralph Detri, he is a great professor with a wealth of knowledge.
Q: Why did you join SGA?
A: I wanted to be a voice for the Salve student body.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish in the next year?
A: This year I hope to meet the needs of my constituents and excel in my position as a new senator.
Q: What you are most excited for this year?
A: I am excited to improve and grow upon my leadership skills in hopes to better support the Salve student body.
Q: What you want your fellow Salve students to know about SGA?
A: SGA is a great resource for all students and we are constantly seeking constituent feedback.
