With the weather getting colder outside, warm up with this delicious twist on the classic hot chocolate! It’s perfect for the winter (or all year round) and is simple enough that you can make it in your dorm.
Ingredients:
- Hot Chocolate Mix
- Pumpkin Pie Spice or Extract
- Any Other Toppings You Like
Directions:
- First use either water or milk and follow the instructions on your hot chocolate mix. I used the Swiss Miss hot chocolate and microwaved the water for two minutes before adding the mix and stirring it all together
- Once the regular hot chocolate is made add in either your pumpkin pie extract or pumpkin pie spice to the hot chocolate. The amounts may vary depending on how strong you want the pumpkin flavor, but I would start with half a teaspoon and continue adding more until you get the desired taste. Personally, I ended up using one tablespoon of pumpkin pie extract. If you use the actual pumpkin pie spice and are having trouble with it dissolving, heat up your water some more.
- Add whatever toppings you prefer and you’re done! This recipe is super easy and delicious.
