The Disappointing Final Episode of Tiger King

A seven-episode series was released a few weeks ago in March on Netflix, titled Tiger King. The show gained national attention very fast-within a week of being released-and since then there has been one thing many people are wondering: Did Carole Baskin killed her husband and feed him to the tigers?

On April 12, 2020, Netflix released a new episode of Tiger King, “The Tiger and I”. The episode starts off over a video call that has people from the series. Focusing in on each person, Joel McHale interviews big figures from the series about their thoughts from the show along with their lives now.

Two people were not interviewed, who happens to be Joe Exotic himself and Carole Baskin. Joe is currently serving a 22-year sentence for murder for hire. There was no word about why Carole did not interview, but I think we all know why.

Watching the new episode I noticed not a lot of good things were said about the Tiger King himself. There were claims that Joe was more loyal to the animals rather than his employees. Along with that, a producer stated that  “He (Joe) was scared to death of lions and tigers. It’s idiotic that he’s become famous as the ‘Tiger King’ when he’s so terrified of big cats.”

Airing on Monday, April 13, 2020, Fox ran a special about Joe Exotic along with Investigation Discovery working on a series about the crimes that were committed and how Joe ended up in prison. After watching the final episode, I found some points that were said about who Joe really was to be very fascinating.

But, I did not enjoy it. I thought it was very boring and the ending episode should not have been a thing. At the end of the day, I am just so happy that one of Joe Exotic’s ex-husbands, John Finlay, finally got some teeth.
