The foliage has reappeared on campus and the temperature is beginning to cool. In celebration of our beautiful campus in this turn of season, Salve Regina University’s Office of Alumni/Parent Programs has announced the program for the 2016 Fall Weekend, taking place Friday, October 21 – Sunday, October 23. Here is a list of programs to look forward to for students, family, and alumni.
FRIDAY- OCTOBER 21
5-7 PM: Kickoff Family Dinner at Miley
7 PM: Murder Mystery event at Wakehurst
8 PM: The Hunger Concert at Ochre Court
Watch a night of student musical performances in the main hall of Ochre Court. Adult tickets are $5 and children’s and student’s tickets are $3. All proceeds form this concert help to support local soup kitchens.
9-11 PM: Young Alumni Social (21+)
Reconnect with classmates and friends at O’Brien’s Pub and enjoy complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.
SATURDAY- OCTOBER 22
7-9 AM: 5k Mansion Run and Walk and 6th Annual Kids Fun Run. Registration and check-in will be at Rodgers Recreation Center.
10 AM-12 PM: 13th Annual Fall Festival Awards Ceremony at Ochre Court
11:30 AM- 3:30 PM: The Seahawk Village will be held in the Antone Lot and Wakehurst
12- 2 PM: Salve Regina Colloquia
Salve faculty will be conducting lectures, workshops, and interactive presentations. More information on these sessions can be found at the welcome and information center in the lower level of Miley.
1-3 PM: Pell Honors Program Reception will be held by Dr. Khalil Habib in Ochre Court.
3 PM: Salve Regina Sigma Phi Sigma Induction Ceremony in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel.
6-9 PM: Seahawks Athletics Alumni Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony
8-10 PM: Fall Festival Parent Reception (21+) at the Hotel Viking. There will be complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.
8-10 PM: Family Night at the Movies in Distefano Lecture Hall.
10: 30 PM: Alumni Night at Blue’s Cafe (21+)
Cash bar and no cover charge.
SUNDAY- OCTOBER 23
9AM -12 PM: Discover Salve Campus Tours
Enjoy a narrated trolley tour of our campus and the historic buildings. Tours will last approximately 15 minutes and will begin in the Miley parking lot.
11 AM- 12PM: Sunday Student Mass
Immediately following mass, join President Sister Jane Gerety for coffee and light refreshments.
